The weekend of the Michigan/Michigan State game I went to Grand Rapids to meet up with my family and enjoy the last weekend of Artprize! Artists from all over the world enter their work into this annual competition in hopes of receiving high acclaim for their work as well as large cash prizes.  My mother's cousin Chris Laporte entered his drawing entitled "Cavalry" into the contest and ended up receiving 1st place and taking home $250,000!!!
