Around October 15th the fall colors are at their peak, it's about the most beautiful time in autumn, and also happens to be my birthday. So, for my birthday my roommates and I drove out to St. Johns Cider Mill to enjoy the beautiful day, and perhaps relive our childhood? ;)

Back in East Lansing...

The weekend of the Michigan/Michigan State game I went to Grand Rapids to meet up with my family and enjoy the last weekend of Artprize! Artists from all over the world enter their work into this annual competition in hopes of receiving high acclaim for their work as well as large cash prizes.  My mother's cousin Chris Laporte entered his drawing entitled "Cavalry" into the contest and ended up receiving 1st place and taking home $250,000!!! We were really excited to see his piece and all the other amazing pieces of artwork. Of course I brought my camera with me...
