East Coast Road Trip
On the first day of June my friend Sam and I headed out east to go visit our friend Michelle in Stamford, Connecticut. The ride out there was brutal; we drove through the night stopping to sleep for about an hour somewhere in the middle of Pennsylvania. At most of the stops we would longboard around to stretch our legs; at a scenic overlook we stopped at in the morning I took quite the fall on my board, camera in tow. Somehow, only God knows, I managed to save the camera instead wrecking both my big toes, right leg, left hip, and right thigh (how is that even possible?) Anyway, we eventually made it there...eventually.
The second day we were there we took the train into New York City.
For lunch we stopped in to this awesome little place called The Grey Dog in Greenwich Village. The atmosphere was as great as the signs:

May [the force be with you]
When I had finally finished my sophomore year of college I packed all my stuff up and headed home for the summer. When I got home, a few friends and I headed out to the sand dunes and I was instantly reminded of what I had been missing:
jumping down the dunes.

The day after One Day Without Shoes I had tickets to see Sara Bareilles at Interlochen. So my friend Michelle and I skipped class and headed north for the night to catch the show. We had just enough time to explore a little bit of Traverse City beforehand.
